DIGITAL MEDIA LITERACY NOW
DIGITAL MEDIA LITERACY NOW
About SCHOLARSPLUS®
The mental health crisis affecting today’s youth is escalating—and digital media is one of the leading contributors. From social comparison and misinformation to cyberbullying and screen addiction, young people are navigating an online world that’s powerful, pervasive, and largely unregulated. Parents and educators are sounding the alarm—but too often, they lack the tools to respond effectively.
ScholarsPlus® was created to meet this urgent need.
We are a new organization founded by parents and educators who share a deep commitment to helping children thrive in the digital age. Our mission is to reach as many students as possible—as soon as possible—with a research-informed curriculum that empowers them to become Mindful Digital Media Navigators®.
We are currently partnering with schools, families, libraries, and community organizations to bring engaging, practical digital media literacy programming to K-12 learners. Our goal is not just to teach students how to use media, but how to understand its impact on their mental health, resilience, and role as citizens in a digital democracy.
At Scholars Plus, we believe that media literacy is self-care, civic action, and 21st-century survival—all in one.
We're currently seeking schools and community organizations to partner with us in piloting our program. Help shape the future of digital wellbeing—for your students and beyond.

-
Chloé Desmoulins, Founder & Lead Instructor
As a concerned parent, Chloé founded ScholarsPlus® in response to what she believes is a critical lack of digital media literacy education. With a Master’s degree in French Literature and an experienced educator, she brings a unique perspective to digital media literacy. Chloe published a thesis exploring the boundaries of text and images and how they create meaning together. By understanding how text and images work together in digital media, we can critically evaluate and interpret the meaning-making processes behind its content.
